AMERICA'S WORLD CUP SCHEDULE

22 - 25 August
All six America’s Cup teams will compete in the Preliminary Regatta in their new AC75s. The racing starts on August 22nd with four days of match races to find the two fastest teams. The top two teams will progress to the winner-takes-all final match race on the fourth and last day to decide the ultimate winner of the event. Races kick off daily at 2.00 pm (14:00 CEST) and run until 4 or 5 pm, depending on the race schedule.

29 Aug - 11 Sept
The Louis Vuitton Cup (Challenger Selections Series) will determine which team will face the Defender Emirates Team New Zealand in the 37th America's Cup Match. The Series consists of a double Round Robin.

14 - 23 September
The top four teams will face each other in a Semi-Final with the first team tying on five points, with the two winners advancing to the Louis Vuitton Cup Final.

26 Sept - 7 Oct
The winner of the Louis Vuitton Cup will be the first team to seven points and will face Emirates Team New Zealand in the 37th America's Cup.

10 Sept - 26 Sept
The fleet of twelve teams is split between the invited teams and the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup teams. The Qualification Series sees a total of eight races completed for both groups. The top three teams from each group progress into a Final Series of four races to decide the top two teams that will go head-to-head in a winner-takes-all Final Match Race.

28 Sept - 13 Oct
The fleet of twelve teams is split between the invited teams and the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup teams. The Qualification Series sees a total of eight races completed for both groups. The top three teams from each group progress into a Final Series of four races to decide the top two teams that will go head-to-head in a winner-takes-all Final Match Race.

12 Oct- 27 Oct
The America’s Cup is the race with no second place. Either you win or you lose, and it has been like this for over 173 years. In the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup Match the Defender Emirates Team New Zealand will face the winner of the Louis Vuitton Cup (Challenger Selection Series) in a first to seven points Match. Each race will be a match race between the two teams. The winner of each race scores one point, the loser scores no points. The first team to score seven points will become the Defender of the 38th America’s Cup.
